The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo and agricultural exhibition and fair held every July in Calgary, Alberta. Beginning in 1886, the Stampede has cemented its place in Calgary culture and remains one of Canada's largest festivals as well as one of the world's richest rodeos.
For this project, I wanted to focus on the festival as an event for a family instead of focusing on the standard imagery of cowboys and cattle. I wanted something subtle and charming, yet warm and inviting and eventually settled on the theme of a carousel. The brochure, excluding the ad redesign on the back page, deviates from this a little but retains the overarching themes of "festivities" and horses.
